Commission Terms & Conditions

ARIGATOU STUDIO — COMMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on our calendar. Work will not begin until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due upon completion, before the final file or physical piece is delivered. Payments are processed via invoice and accepted through PayPal, Venmo, or debit/credit card. If the remaining balance is not received within 7 days of completion notice, Arigatou Studio reserves the right to withhold delivery of the final piece until payment is made in full.
  2.  REVISIONS Each commission includes up to 2 rounds of revisions at no additional charge. A revision is defined as minor adjustments to an approved concept (color changes, small compositional tweaks). Significant changes to the agreed scope — new characters, complete redesigns, or changes made after final approval — will be quoted separately.
  3. TURNAROUND TIME Standard turnaround is 2–4 weeks from deposit receipt, depending on complexity and current queue. Rush commissions (under 2 weeks) are available for an additional fee and are subject to availability. Arigatou Studio will communicate any delays that may affect your timeline.
  4. CANCELLATIONS If you cancel after work has begun, the deposit is forfeited. If Arigatou Studio is unable to complete your commission, a full refund of all payments will be issued. Cancellations before work begins will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  5.  APPROVAL & DELIVERY A work-in-progress preview will be shared for approval before finalization. Once you approve the final piece, no further changes can be made. Digital files are delivered via email. Physical pieces ship to the address provided at time of payment.
  6. USAGE RIGHTS & OWNERSHIP Arigatou Studio retains the right to display all completed commission work in our portfolio and on social media unless you request otherwise in writing at time of inquiry. All rights to the work transfer to the client upon receipt of final payment. Commissions are for personal use only unless commercial licensing is explicitly agreed upon in writing.
  7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Clients are responsible for providing accurate reference materials and clear direction at the time of inquiry. Arigatou Studio is not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or unclear briefs. If a client becomes unresponsive for more than 30 days during an active commission, Arigatou Studio reserves the right to close the project with the deposit forfeited.         Last updated: 05/26
